The UpdateServer is a web server that offers Spybot-S&D updates for a local network, thus avoiding that every client needs to download updates from the Internet. It either requests them from us in an user-defined interval or synchronizes only on user (admin) request, in case the admin wants to test updates before releasing them to his network.

It can either use a web server integrated into the tool, or any already existing web server where the tool may have normal file access.

This tool is not available for free; please contact licenses@spybot.info for details on implementing this in your network.

This tool just needs five easy parameters...

• a local path for the update files (an empty folder wherever it suits best),
• a file that will store the information (a opy of the clients Updates\online.ini),
• the URL path to the server machine (http:// + server IP address should be sufficient),
• and a sync interval if scheduling wanted, and
• if the integrated or an external web server should be used.
